Being invited by the EDB CEATETA (Chief Executive¡¦s Award for Teaching Excellence Teacher Association), Ms TSE Siu Wah Florie conducted a workshop on Non-mimetic Drawing on 17 July, 2010. It is a unique language for self-exploration and a living form of inner expression and shared intuition. Participants were interested in the experience of expressing themselves through non-mimetic drawing and the workshop was immensely appreciated.
Among the speakers were Ms TSE, Siu Wah Florie and a F.4B student, YUNG Hoi Yin Kobe. Ms Tse shared her skills in guiding students to build their visual arts portfolios in NSS Visual Arts. She introduced how a solid junior form curriculum contributed to the development of NSS learning. She explored the significant relationship among life, thoughts and arts.
This year, Tang Cheuk Man Penelope (F.7B) of our school is one of the ambassadors because she is good at singing the Acapella, which is performed by a group of people who only use their voice to sing different parts of songs, like the melody, bass, percussion etc. She is now a member of an Acapella group called ¡¥ Posibella¡¦, which was founded 4 years ago.
Twenty-nine Form four Visual Arts students took part in the half day visit to the graduation show in the Fine Arts Department of the CUHK. The students had an opportunity to view the works of the talented graduates and discovered a spectacular collection of inspiring and provocative works of different media and diversified culture, including Western and Chinese painting, outdoor sculpture, installation, ceramics, photography and mixed media.

Carpet, Banner and Leather Experiments in Upcycling Design
Congratulations to Ms Mary Yu, an outstanding fashion designer who graduated from Jockey Club Ti-I College in 2001! Her design was showcased in the Carpet, Banner and Leather Experiments in Upcycling Design held at the A-Link Plus from 10 ¡V 30 June, 2010.
Mary Yu, who completed Form 7 in Jockey Club Ti-I College in 2001, obtained her first degree in Fashion & Textile Design and Master¡¦s Degree in Design (Advanced Practice) from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Soon after graduation, she became a fashion designer and was commissioned to design the uniforms for the 2008 Beijing Olympic Equestrian Events. She was selected one of the 40 promising young designers under the age of 40 in Asia in the Perspective's 40/40 Design Award (representing fashion design). Currently, she is Managing Director of MARY YU DESIGN with the brand MARY YU and Partner and Design Director of MAISON CREATIONS LIMITED with the brand MYTHIQUE.
A staff development day on teaching and learning was held on 8 June, 2010 at the English Centre of our school. It started with an introduction to Strategic Directions by Dr. Quong. We were honoured to have Mr Eddie Ng Hak-kim, JP, Chair of the HKEAA deliver a speech on ¡§HKDSE - Our mission is to insure the future fitness of our Students¡¨. The talk was inspiring and teachers enjoyed it immensely.
27 Form six and 7 Form Four Visual Arts students took part in the half day visit to the graduation shows in the Fine Arts Department of the CUHK. The Fine Arts Department of The Chinese University of Hong Kong has a long history of 50 years. The exhibition this year,¡§The Art of CUHK 2010¡¨ features exhibitions of works by both undergraduates and postgraduate students and an invitational exhibition ¡X¡§Spirit and Re-invention: Hong Kong Sculpture Biennial 2010¡¨.
Thanks to The AAA for offering our teachers and students free e-tickets to visit booth at ART HK 10 and library: Materials of the Future: Documenting Contemporary Chinese Art from 1980-1990. Some teachers and students visited ART HK and they all enjoyed and benefited from the high-quality and diversified international visual arts exhibition.
There are many Ti-I students who are outstanding in academic performance, leadership, visual arts, physical education and extra-curricular activities. Starting from 2003, we compile a yearly Honours List to acknowledge their achievement and hold a dinner reception to celebrate their success. This year the dinner reception was held on Thursday, May 20 at the Forum of Regal Riverside Hotel in Shatin. Parents were also invited to share the happy moment.
Sharing About the New Senior Secondary Curriculum on Visual Arts 2010
Through The Arts Education Key Learning Area of the Education Bureau, Mr. Mike Izzard conducted a sharing about the New Senior Secondary Curriculum on Visual Arts with our NSS 1 students.
Ms. Mary Yu, Ti-I alumnus and an outstanding fashion designer officiated at the opening ceremony on May 20, 2010. Among the many distinguished guests was one parent, Dr. WONG Kai Hung, Peter, Chief Curriculum Development Officer (Special Educational Needs Section), The Education Bureau.
Ms Florie Tse, 4 Form Six students and 2 Form Seven students were invited by Lam Tai Fai College to view their Annual Fashion Show on 28th May 2010. The theme of the Fashion Show was "Embracing Dreams", aimed at integrating their yearly educational theme "Looking at the Present and into the Future - Extending, Appreciating & Embracing". The creative designs of the students presented on the catwalk were inspired by splendid and vibrant dreams that colour their world at present and in the future.
The guest speaker was Mr. Yu Chi Fung, Roy, an architect. It has been a problem of TiŸìI students trying to excel in studies and visual arts or PE. As a past student, Roy shared his experiences and ideas related to how to strike a balance between his pursuit of excellence in visual arts and studies.
It¡¦s wet! It¡¦s hot! It¡¦s itchy!! Yet, the Geography Field Trip is really FUN!!
On 17-5-2010, the Form Six Geography students went to Tsuen Wan with Miss Yeung and spent the whole day on river study. It was indeed a golden opportunity to put what they have learnt inside the classroom into practice. They studied two stream channels in Tai Mo Shan and collected first-hand data about the river morphology. It was a fruitful experience to get wet so as to get into close contact with the river channels. Besides learning a lot about gradient, load and discharge, they have also met a lot of new friends including river shrimps, baby lobsters, dragon-flies and giant mosquitoes! Oh! One more ¡§reward¡¨ from the field trip: 35 mosquito¡¦s bites on just one beautiful leg! Can you imagine??

Two Form Six Visual Arts students, Kelvin Cheung and Agyness Wu, one Form Seven non-visual arts student, Ron Li, Ms Chui Lai Kuen and Ms Florie Tse, Siu Wah were interviewed in a TVB cultural program (¤å¤Æ·s»â°ì) that was broadcast on 22 May, 2010.
The 798 art zone in Beijing is composed of many galleries and artistic stores. There are a lot of differences between Beijing and Hong Kong¡¥s artists. Beijing artists show their concern about society through producing artworks related to social issues while Hong Kong artists get inspirations from daily life. (by 6A Ally Chiu)
Visual Arts Education and Community Development Project - Non-mimetic Drawing Workshop
Ms Florie Tse Siu Wah was invited to conduct a non-mimetic drawing workshop in the project entitled ¡¥Artist Power Volunteer Scheme¡¦ at the Artist Volunteer Partners Orientation Day Camp on 15 May, 2010. The workshop provided invaluable experience for the young to experience self-expression via scribbling.
Some Visual Arts students visited an exhibition at the EDGE Gallery in the evening of 7 May, at the invitation by an alumni, Ms Au Hoi Lam, whose solo exhibition was entitled ¡¥Definitions of Time: Paintings by Au Hoi Lam¡¦.

The Girls' Football Team got the 10th consecutive victory in the Interschool Girls' Soccer Tournament on 28th March 2010. The team captain, Yiu Hei Man was selected the MVP (Most Valuable Player) in the competition. A lot of people, including the Principal Dr. Quong, teachers, schoolmates, alumni, parents, and friends had come to support the team.
Interview on a Research Study on Public Arts Education
Ms Florie Tse, Siu Wah, our Visual Arts Coordinator, was interviewed by Dr Anissa Fung, Assistant Professor, Department of Cultural and Creative Arts, The Hong Kong Institute of Education to give her views about the Research Study on Public Arts Education.
We were honoured by a visit on the 30 April 2010 by the Executive Director of Charities, Legal and Corporate Secretariat of the HK Jockey Club and Ms Florine Tang the Manager of Charities. We were able to show them that TIC has never wavered and has been highly successful in its mission to deliver high performance in academics, sports and visual arts.
The school was honored to have the appearance of Dr. Tsang Fan Kwong (´¿Ác¥úÂå¥Í) on April 28, 2010 to conduct an insightful talk on ¡§Emotion Management through Reading¡¨ (±q¾\Ū¤¤¾Ç²ß±¡ºüºÞ²z). Dr. Tsang is an artist, a psychiatrist as well as a writer. His sharing made students understand more about the importance of emotion management and critical thinking in daily life.
A guest lecture organized by P.E. Department was conducted on Apr 22 from 3:45pm to 5:45pm in Lecture Theatre. Dr. Daniel T.P. FONG, the Research Assistant Professor from the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, Prince of Wales Hospital, Faculty of Medicine, CUHK and Mr. Justin Lee Wai Yuk were invited to give the lecture for our NSS-PE elective students. We were so glad to have our alumni to come back school to share their valuable working experiences and updated knowledge in the field of sport injury. Dr. Fong is now studying the smart sport shoes with sensors which can help prevent the common injury - ankle sprain. We are looking forward to seeing his new invention.
¡¥Fragments¡¦, a photographic arts exhibition held by teachers and students of Jockey Club Ti-I College, kicked off in the school¡¦s Art Gallery on 14th April, 2010. The school has invited Mr. Leung Chi Wo, a local famous photographic artist, to be the guest of honour. This exhibition is different from previous ones in that it contains works by teachers and students, art and non-art.
Our school was honoured to be invited by Mr. Tsoi Hak Chiu, one of our board members, to attend the opening ceremony of his private collections, Zhao Shao¡¦ang (1905-1998) paintings and calligraphy from the collection of You Yu Tang exhibition at Hall 5, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (New Wing) 1 Expo Drive, Wanchai on 2 April 2010.
Our school is greatly honoured to explore an experimental cooperative painting by our School Board Members and F.1 students on 31 March 2010.
School Board Members started with putting a mark on a piece of Chinese Cotton Paper. Based on the mark, Form One students started their problem-solving and art-making process. It was exciting and challenging. Some nice paintings were drawn, much to the surprise of the School Board Members. Participants all enjoyed the experience.
On March 15, about thirty of our F.6 students attended the City University Pulitzer Prize Distinguished lecture. The event was one of the series of talks / lectures for the Man Hong Kong International Literary Festival 2010. The speaker of the lecture is Junot D Âaz, an American Dominican writer, whose book, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, received several awards, including the Pulitzer Prize and remained on The New York Times and independent bookstore bestseller lists for two years.
A special function called "Mock Release of HKCEE", jointly organized by the Counselling Committee and Careers Committee, was held on 12/3/2010.
A number of parents and alumni were invited as helpers of the function. This year, we adopted a programme designed by HKSKH Ma On Shan (South) Children and Youth Integrated Service Centre. The programme rundown was well-structured and smooth. Manpower of HKSKH Ma On Shan (South) Children and Youth Integrated Service Centre was also very adequate and that helped the execution of programme logistics. Generally speaking, students were stimulated and their concern on career planning were successfully aroused.
The Geography Department held an educational talk for all the Form One students on 2-3-2010 on the topic of ¡¥Low-carbon Living¡¦. A guest speaker from the Environmental Protection Department came to share with the students. The topics covered in the talk included the reasons of global warming and its impacts on people, the meaning of carbon foot print and the suggestions of low ¡V carbon living. Case studies of Hong Kong as well as countries all over the world were introduced too.
To promote reading culture in school and to offer junior form students an enjoyable experience, the Reading Committee held a Ti-I Reading Day on February 10, 2010. Four groups of visual arts students joined the DesignPlus Fashion Competition. Congratulations to Stella Leung of F.7A on her being awarded the championship in the DesignPlus Fashion Competition. The objective of the competition is to raise students¡¦ awareness of the difficulties faced by the elderly or individuals with special needs in everyday life.

On January 30, 2010, six Form 6 visual art students, together with Dr. Quong and Miss
Tse Siu Wah attended the "Dialogue with Po CHUNG, Bernard CHAN and CHIM
SuiŸìman: Entrepreneurship, Creativity and the Arts". The three speakers, who are
respectively the CoŸìfounder of DHL international Ltd., the president of Asia Financial
Holdings Ltd, and founder of PIP Cultural Industries Ltd., shared their experiences and
views on the relationships among the arts, creativity and entrepreneurship, and how
the arts facilitated the development of entrepreneurial skills.
F.7 Graduation Artwork Exhibition at the Artland Gallery 2010

The Flag Day was held successfully during lunchtime on 28th January, 2010. Our students participated actively and the money raised will be donated to Chai Wan Baptist Church Social Service (®ãÆW®û«H·|ªÀ·|ªA°È³B) to help those needy in Hong Kong.
The Annual Food Selling Activity with the objective to raise fund for Ti-I Grant organized by PTA on 15th Jan 2010 was held successfully. Nearly $40,000 was raised from the event and parents¡¦ donation. Thanks to the Chairlady and all members of PTA as well as 46 parent volunteers for their contributions.
Miss Tse Siu Wah, coordinator of the Visual Arts Department and awardee of the Chief Executive Award for Teaching Excellence in Art (2006-2007), conducted a Parent-student Visual Arts Workshop, Non-mimetic Drawing, on 9 January 2010.
We are greatly honored by the presence of our alumnus, a distinguished artist, Mr. Lam Tung Pang at the opening ceremony of the F.7 Graduation Artwork Exhibition held in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 16 January 2010.
The Shatin District Secondary School Expo was held on Saturday, 16th Jan 2010. Our student ambassadors conducted interesting games. They also manned the booth and answered questions from students and parents.
An information session was held on Sunday, January 10, 2010 with the aim to provide an opportunity for the parents of primary six students to understand thoroughly the mission, curricular and the directions of the school. Over 900 parents and students participated in the event. As we had received an overwhelming number of requests for tickets, we had to turn down some of them simply because we did not have enough seats although we had tried to increase the capacity by broadcasting the event to the Lecture Theatre. We are grateful to the parents' feedback that is all positive and very encouraging.
A group of F.5 students produced four outstanding films last year. Dr. Quong and eight students attended the Opening Ceremony of the "Youth's Palace of Film" Program at the Hong Kong Space Museum on the 21st of December. The films were well received by the audience and were amongst the ¡¥best¡¦ films in the program.
Ten students received their awards at the opening ceremony of the Youth Impressions on 20,
Dec. 2009. Ti-I had remarkable performance especially for the junior form students.
The Youth Impressions 2009 is a regional printmaking exhibition for high school students.
There are 634 submissions from 38 schools. Out of a total of 207 selected exhibits, our
students took up 25. These exhibits together with the artworks from Macau and Shenzhen
will be shown at the Exhibition Gallery, 1-2, Hong Kong Central Library, 20-30 Dec,
2009.

A drug abuse education program was held on the staff development day 4th
December, 2009 at the school¡¦s English Centre.
It started with an introduction to drug abuse held by the Cheer Lutheran Centre.
Teachers learnt about screening, prevention and treatment of drug abuse. We
were impressed by the experience shared by an ex-addict. We were glad to
share also the experience with Ms Julie Hannaford from an ESF College in the
afternoon session. The program was concluded with a feedback session
contributed by the Social Worker, Vice-principals, Assistant principal,
Disciplinary Master, Counseling Master and members of the Staff Development
Committee.
The Standard Chartered Arts In the Park Mardi Gras 2009
After working endlessly for two months, ARTery members proudly presented their artworks in a parade on the 15th of November, 2009. The theme of the giant artwork is ¡§Hong Kong, China¡¨. Even we were a bit disappointed by the poor weather, we still kept a passion for the parade.

We heard the junior form winners of the Halloween poetry competition held during Halloween: English Week last month.
¡§Sha-teen Shine U Way¡¨ Joint School Campaign 2009-2010
A joint school campaign organized by the Hong Kong Young Women¡¦s Christian Association (YWCA) Shatin Integrated Social Service Centre and The University of Hong Kong (HKU) was launched and would run from Nov 2009 to May 2010. The campaign brings in a myriad of activities, events and programmes to students of ten selected top and reputable schools in Shatin. Our school is one of the selected schools.
The opening ceremony and talks were held on 28 Nov 2009 (Saturday) at Kiangsu-Chekiang College (Shatin). Our vice-principal Mr. K.L. Chow and some Form 5 and Form 6 students attended. After the ceremony, two talks named ¡§HKU and JUPAS Admissions¡¨ and ¡§Student life at HKU¡¨ were delivered by HKU¡¦s senior management.
The Inter-class Bulletin Board Design Competition for the first term has come to an end. Prizes were presented to the winning classes in the morning assembly on 23rd November.
Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games Joint-school Torch Relay
To celebrate and support the coming Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games, a joint-school torch relay was organized in Munsang College (Kowloon) on Nov 4, 2009. Jockey Club Ti-I College was one of the co-organizing schools in this event. Our Principal Dr. Quong and 4 student athletes were invited to be the torchbearers in the function. Our cheering team performed marvelously and they won a big round of applause from all the audiences.
The annual athletic meet was organized successfully on Nov 5-6, 2009. All athletes tried their very best to compete for the good result of their respective houses. After two-day competition, blue house obtained the champion of the cheering team competition and yellow house became the overall winner of this year. To support the coming of the Hong Kong 2009 East Asian Games, a special school torch relay was also arranged in the opening ceremony. 16 torchbearers including our Principal Dr. Quong, PTA chairperson, teacher and student representatives completed the 800m relay which symbolizes the continuation of the EAG spirit.
The Student Union, Daisy, held a Halloween party at the night of 31st October. More than 100 students helped actively in setting up different kinds of haunted houses and more than 300 student visitors joined the game. Feedbacks were pleasant and encouraging. Students showed that they enjoy the game. Here, we should say thank you to Daisy and all student helpers for their contribution in the party. You may not know that they have to spend more than two hours to tidy up all the classrooms after the game.
Forty-six form four Visual Arts students had visited an exhibition at the Artist Commune, Cattle Depot Artist Village on 21st of October, invited by our alumni, Mr. Koon Wai Bong, who participated in Ink Contemporary: ReXPERIMENT. Students were briefly introduced to the development of new ink painting and were able to understand the elements, spirit and new techniques of the modern ink painting.
It is a valuable experience for students to enrich their artistic creation.
The Halloween Week was held on 27th to 31th of October.The most successful activities were the Scary Movie clips, Mr. Adrian Tilley's scary story presentation, Ghost Stories and the Haunted House. As part of our English Language Enriching activities we also held writing competitions: Halloween Poetry for Forms 1-3 and Halloween Story for Forms 1-7. The student union debate and election were held successfully on 9/10 and 12/10 respectively. Daisy, the only candidate party for the election, has won the election. The chairlady of Daisy is Ho Yuen Yi of 6A. Now, the student union is preparing the Halloween Party which will be held on 31/10 (Sat) from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm. All students are welcomed.
The Cookie Selling Day was held successfully during lunchtime on 23rd October, 2009. All the cookies were sold out and the money raised will be donated to Haven of Hope Christian Service (°ò·þ±ÐÆF¹ê¨ó·|) to help those elderly in Hong Kong who are in need.
The PCS Training Camp, jointly organized by the Counselling Committee and TWGHs Jockey Club Shatin Integrated Services Centre, was held successfully from 10/10 to 11/10 in the Chinese YMCA ¡V Wu Kwai Sha Youth Village. Twenty-four F.4 and F.6 students were involved in this event.
An afternoon gathering for parents was organized by the PTA on 10th October, 2009. Over 150 parents came to our school. The afternoon gathering included a welcoming speech by the PTA chairlady Miss Cheung Sui Wah, a speech ¡§Engage and Extend¡¨ by the Principal sharing his philosophy of education, interactive games, a school tour game, tea time, a video show of ¡§Our First 20th Years ¡¨ and a prize presentation.The gathering provided an enjoyable occasion for parents to know more about the school. On 25th September 2009, representatives from the Hong Kong Federation of the Blind came to our school to give a talk on the topic ¡§Self-strengthening in Adversity¡¨ (°f¹Ò¦Û±j).
Seven students took part in the Eighth JSTA Robot Competition organized by Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education(Tsing Yi) on 11th July, 2009. They obtained 3 prizes ¡V award of merit in Wrestling Robot Competition, Soccer Robot Competition,
Racing Robot Competition.
On 11th July 2009 the Jockey Club Ti-I College, Shatin, held the grand finale of a year long series of events celebrating the 20th anniversary of the school. This memorable event was attended by the Supervisor, Professor Fu and members of the board, the current principal, Miss Lam, former principals, current and former teaching and non-teaching staff, parents, and alumni.

Twenty-one Form six Visual Arts students took part in the half day visit to the graduation shows in the Fine Arts Department of the CUHK and the Academy of Visual Arts of the HKBU.
An informative session, Form Three Parents' Night, on the NSS curriculum was held on 15th May, 2009 and the feedback was very positive. 151 parents and students attended the session.

Thirty two student leaders from forms one to six took part in the leadership training day camp organized by Hong Kong Phab Association in Pokfulam Phab Camp on 25th April, 2009. Our student leaders participated actively and they now have a better understanding and care for the disabled.
Diversified Visual Arts Teacher Programmes - Session 4: Couplet and Couplet Calligraphy Seminar & Exhibition by Tong Kam Tang
The last session was conducted by Professor TONG Kam Tang on Couplet and Couplet Calligraphy. On behalf of the school, I would like to take this opportunity to thank Professor Tong for his time and zeal to share his knowledge in couplet art for the benefit of the teachers. Participants all enjoyed the time with him and were immensely appreciative.
Students from forms 2,3,4 and 6 are busy rehearsing 'A Tin Hau Dream' which is being performed in public on Friday 24th April in the Lecture Theatre at 7.00pm. The play is based on the William Shakespeare play 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' and is our fourth Shakespeare production at College.
Nanyang Commercial Bank Student Drawing Competition Hong Kong Flower Show 2009
Some eleven F.3 to F.6 Visual Arts students took part in the Nanyang Commercial Bank Student Drawing Competition Hong Kong Flower Show 2009 on 13 March, 2009.
On 20/02/2009, we were happy to meet Mr. Doming Lam (ªL¼Ö°ö), the composer of our school song in a concert. He requested our students to sing his composition which was composed 20 years ago. He was pleased and excited because it was the first time he heard his composition in human voices!
Our EAC Social Services Team members joined the Hunger Banquet organized by the LEO Club of Center Point H.K.S.A.R. on 21st February, 2009 to raise their public awareness of food and hunger issues. The money raised will be donated to World Vision Hong Kong to help the needy in China.

A visit to the Exhibition of Secondary School Students' Creative Visual Arts Work (2008-2009) for Form Five Visual Arts Students was held on 10 February, 2009.
We are greatly honored by the presence of two distinguished artists, Dr. Ma Kwai Min and Mr. Chow Chun Fai at the opening ceremony of the F.7 Graduation Artwork Exhibition held in the Hong Kong Cultural Centre on 10 January 2009.
On 3rd February 2009, our students welcomed a special honourable guest. Mrs. Anson Chan, the former Chief Secretary for Administration, visited our school and gave a talk on the political system of Hong Kong. The topic of the talk was ¡§the Relationship among One Country, Two Systems, Democracy and Governance.¡¨

Miss Tse Siu Wah, coordinator of the Visual Arts Department and awardee of the Chief Executive Award for Teaching Excellence in Art (2006-2007), conducted a Parent-student Visual Arts Workshop, Non-mimetic Drawing, on 3 January 2009.
At the Shatin District Secondary School Expo, our student-ambassadors conducted interesting games. They also manned the booth and answered questions from students and parents.
To promote a reading culture in the school and to offer the junior form students an enjoyable reading experience, the Reading Committee held a Ti-I Reading Day on Jan 21, 2009.
The Opening Ceremony of Jockey Club Ti-I College was held on 21st November 1991. Over the years, there have been lots of memorable moments, comprised of both wonderful times and frustrating moments. We have also had many guests and visitors. The former governors, Lord David Wilson and Chris Patten, visited our school in 1990 and 1995 respectively. Sailing Club Members Meeting Olympic Gold Medal Holders
On 9th December 2008, our sailing club members had an unexpected meeting with the Olympic gold medal holders at the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. Iain Percy and Andrew Simpson are two sailing athletes from Great Britain and they are currently in Hong Kong for a
commercial activity.

The Inter-class Bulletin Board Design Competition for the first term has come to an end. Prizes were presented to the winning classes in the morning assembly on 17th November.
A horrifying and exciting Halloween party was held by the student Union, Synergy, on 1 Nov 2008 (Sat). The party is very popular. There were nearly 200 student participants and helpers in the party. The committee member of Synergy have tried their best to make it a success. As most students enjoyed the party, they gave encouraging comments to it.
The graduation class soccer competition was held from 13 oct to 24 Oct during lunch time. It is always a popular even for all students. During this period, more than a hundred students gathered around the tennis court to enjoy the game. Beside the graduation classes, teachers and alumni were also invited to take part in the game. If you watched the game, you would certainly wonder the football skills of our students.

Diversified Visual Arts Teacher Programmes - Session 1: Comic and Creativity
This year, 2008-2009, Jockey Club Ti-I College and the Chief Executive's Award for Teaching Excellence Teachers Association (ATETA) co-organize a series of diversified Visual Arts Teacher Programmes, aiming at promoting arts education to primary and secondary schools.
A prefect training day camp was held at Hoi Ha Wan Chai camp site on 17 October 08 in order to build up the team spirit and the leadership skills of the prefect team of the school.
A Tour To Part Of Siuhak Exhibition & His Visual Diaries
Our school is greatly honoured to have Siuhak conduct a sharing session and
an exhibition and do a guided tour of his visual diaries (From the one he kept
in Primary 5 to the most recent one).
The Cookie Selling Day was held successfully during lunchtime on 16th October, 2008. All the cookies were sold out and the money collected will be donated to Haven of Hope Christian Service (°ò·þ±ÐÆF¹ê¨ó·|) to help those elderly who are in need.
The Student Union Election has been held on the 13th of October. The voting procedures were satisfactorily completed on that day. Over 50% of our students have exercised their right to vote. Our candidate party, Synergy, has won the majority to preside the Student Union Office.
The Exhibition of Secondary School Students¡¦ Creative Visual Arts Work was organised by the arts education section of the Curriculum Development Institute of the Education Bureau.
ART FOR WEAR! Most people have an incontrovertible belief that jewelry design is the profession of an adult designer. To them, it might seem inconceivable that secondary students around 14 to 15 years old could have the creativity and conceptual knowledge to design something both artistic and functional that is jewelry itself.
English Singing Competition and Poem Writing Competition
The English singing competition this year attracted many participants and audience. Competitors showed great skills, talent and confidence! Our poem writing competition was also a great success. Budding poets were spotted.

An Exhibition of Secondary School Students¡¦ Creative Visual Arts Work (2007-2008) was held by the Arts Education Section of the Curriculum Development Institute, Education Bureau from 23 February 2008 at the Education Bureau Kowloon Tong Education Services Centre.
The Leadership Training Day Camp organized by TREATS was held successfully in
Hong Kong Baptist Assembly in Fanling on 10th May. 41 student leaders were
involved in this event.
Cross-curricular Field Trip to Panyu, Pearl River Delta, 9th May 2008
A group of F.6 students visited Panyu with Miss Yeung Pui San, Lucia and Mr. Ng Chi Lam on 9-5-2008. The focus of the visit was on sustainability in China. They visited a large-scale farm as well as a huge toy factory in Panyu.
To share the joy of the historic event of the Olympic Torch Relay, a special assembly named ¡§Ti-I Welcomes the Torch¡¨ was held in the School Hall in the afternoon of 2/5/2008 (Friday) for all the students and teachers.
Shatin District 2008 Olympics and Equestrian Competition Mural Project
In the celebration of the 2008 Equestrian event in the Shatin District, our school is proud and privileged to partner with Tsang Pik Shan Secondary School to launch the 2008 Olympics Equestrian Mural Production.
A group of F.6 Visual Arts and Liberal Studies students joined a high school campaign ¡¥Glocalization Project-Hong Kong in a Box¡¦ organized by AIESEC-LC-CUHK. They attended a series of courses on ¡¥Glocalization¡¦ and installation art, and designed two boxes on the topic of Hong Kong culture. Their designs won the 1st runner-up in the campaign and were exhibited on 13th April 2008 at the Olympian City.
The School was honored to have the appearance of Dr. Rebecca Lee
on April 11, 08 to conduct an insightful talk on ¡§Exploring the Extreme Reaches
of the Earth and Environmental Protection¡¨.
On March 5th, 2008, the Jockey Club Ti-I College F.7 High Table Lunch 2007-
2008 was held successfully at the school hall. It is an annual event, held just before
the F.7¡¦s study leave, which provides an opportunity for teachers and students to spend some time together as well as inviting a special guest to share his or her
valuable experiences with the students.
The 6-month TREATS Integrated Youth Ambassadors Training Scheme has come to an end. In order to further promote the idea of integration to the public, a community carnival ¡¥TREATS Journey to Integration 2008¡¦ was held at Piazza, Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui on 9th March.
3 graphic design groups of F.5 Visual Arts students were invited to join the ¡§Mini Art Container Scheme¡¨. They have explored the artistic possibilities of a mini container and the tangibility of various media.
To promote reading culture in school and to offer junior form students an enjoyable experience, the reading committee held a Ti-I Reading Day on February 1, 2008.
An information session was held on Saturday, January 12, 2008 with the aim to provide a thorough understanding of the mission, curricular and the directions of the school to the parents of primary six students.
In the Shatin District Secondary Schools Expo, our student-ambassadors designed and

cyanotypes outdoors at Tsuen Wan Town Hall amphitheatre on November 10,
2007.
The Dormitory High Table Dinner 2007 was held on May 22 in the Dormitory Canteen. We
had the honour of the presence of the renowned Silver Medalist in the Women¡¦s Badminton
of the Doha Asian Games, Ms Yip Pui Yin, who is also our alumna.
A two-week fund raising program for the voluntary healthcare workers to bring relief to victims of wars and disasters all over the world was successfully run.
The aim of English Week is to raise the profile of English speaking amongst students by
offering a range of different activities which will engage them in using English.
A good reading habit may have a life-long influence on
students. To make this clear, the Reading Committee
has invited a guest speaker to share his life and learning
experience with the students.
The meeting was conducted smoothly, with 120 parents taking part in. During the
meeting, the Vice Principals presented a clear picture on the New Secondary
School Structure and Curriculum (334)
which would be implemented in 2009.
The Lunch was served in the hall by lower form students dressed in simple school
uniforms and a white apron as waiters and waitresses. Beautiful music was
played live on stage.
Mr. Hung Chung Yam (¬xªQ½®¥ý¥Í), the renowned former Hong Kong cyclist,
and the present Chairman of the Hong Kong Elite Athletes Association delivered
an insightful speech on ¡§social services¡¨ to all students on March 9, 2007. The talk
was well received by the students.

Reading Day¡¨ on February 15, 2007.
It is an activity for the whole F. 2 students, giving them an unforgettable experience. The camp is an adventure aiming at extending students potentials and stretching their limit to its fullest through endurance and cooperation.
