Detailed Information for F.1 Admission 2010-2011 -
Unique Arrangements
As our school has the unique mission to emphasize academic performance and to provide opportunity for the
development of talents in visual arts and sports, we recruit our students on a territory-wide basis.
Besides being an EMI school, we are also the only aided school that enjoys full
discretion in admitting F.1 students (i.e. 100% discretionary placement). Candidates who have good academic
performance in primary schools and who are talented in visual arts or sports are invited to attend an aptitude
test and an interview. Those who have good overall performance would be admitted.
According to the guidelines set by the
Education Bureau, students who apply for F.1 places in our school may still apply for discretionary places in two
other government & aided secondary schools.
Schedule
December - January (Accepting Applications)
Starting from 1 Dec 2009, application forms are available from the School Office, Regional Education Service Centres,
primary schools, the School Telephone System or this website. Completed application forms should be forwarded to
our school directly before 30 Jan, 2010. An application fee of $30 in cheque made payable to "Jockey Club
Ti-I College" should be enclosed.
According to the guidelines set by the Education Bureau, students
who apply for F.1 places in our school may still apply for discretionary places in two other government &
aided secondary schools.
Late March (Attending Interview and Aptitude Test) Students' academic performance in primary schools, conduct, talents
in arts or sports are to be assessed. Selected applicants will be invited to take part in an interview and an aptitude
test at late March.
Mid July (Disclosing List of Successful Applicants) The list of successful applicants will be disclosed by the
Education Bureau.
Unsuccessful applicants can still be allocated places in
other secondary schools through the normal procedures of SSPA.
Note
The college only conducts formal admission procedures for Form 1 and Form 6 intake for school year 2010/2011.
