Background
Our school has a unique mission to emphasize academic performance and to provide an enriched opportunity for the development of talents in visual arts and sports. We recruit students on a territory-wide basis.
Besides being an EMI school, we are also the only aided school that enjoys full discretion in admitting F.1 students (i.e. 100% discretionary placement). Candidates who have good academic performance in primary school and are talented in visual arts or sports are welcome to apply. Those who have good overall performance will be admitted.
According to the guidelines set by the Education Bureau, students who apply for F.1 places in our school may still apply for discretionary places in two other government and aided secondary schools.

January - Accepting Applications

Starting from 1 Dec 2024, application forms are available from our General Office, Regional Education Service Centres, primary schools or this website. Completed application forms should be submitted to our school directly in person or by post from 2 - 20 Jan 2025. An application fee of $75 in cheque made payable to "The Incorporated Management Committee of Jockey Club Ti-I College" should be enclosed. |

February - Practical Test and First Interview
By early February, shortlisted applicants will be notified to take part in a Practical Test and First Interview tentatively scheduled for 22 Feb 2025 (Sat).
As our school places an equal emphasis on students’ academic performance, development of talents in visual arts and sports as well as personal attributes, these three areas are of equal importance in our selection process and judging criteria. During our interview and practical test, we assess candidates’ i) academic performance and learning attitude, particularly in English proficiency, ii) skills, talents and achievements in visual arts or sports, and iii) personality, conduct and family support.
March - Second Interview and Result Announcement
Suitable applicants will be invited to attend the Second Interview with the Principal, Vice Principal or Assistant Principal in March. Parents will be invited to accompany the applicants on the date of the second interview where they may also be interviewed.
Successful applicants will be notified by phone and letter on 31 Mar 2025. Unsuccessful applicants can still be allocated places in other secondary schools through the normal procedures of SSPA.
July - F.1 Registration
Successful applicants have to complete the registration process on 10 or 11 July 2025.
