Our Visual Arts major students recently completed an inspiring 3-day, 2-night Visual Art camp full of creativity, exploration, and cultural discovery!
On day 1, we had outdoor sketching around the vibrant streets of Ap Lei Chau, followed by a breathtaking night walk from Pok Fu Lam to the Peak.
During a full day of walking through the diverse streets of Central and Sheung Wan on the 2nd day of the art camp, our students explored the rich cultural layers and evolution of Hong Kong’s urban fabric. We also visited the illustration exhibition "Stories of Market: Hong Kong Everyday Lives in Comics", we met two local illustrators to learn about art projects that bring to life the real stories behind street stalls of Graham Market community and the close-knit neighborhood culture.
The art camp concluded with a meaningful visit to the historical Béthanie Chapel, capping off a deeply enriching experience and all groups shared their creations in the mini-exhibition.
A wonderful journey combining art practice, cultural immersion, and community engagement — sparking creativity and a deeper appreciation for Hong Kong’s unique story!
